On 14th December 2019 our troop had a festive meeting with all Sections joining together at the end of the evening for our annual raffle, followed by Christmas carols and Christmas crackers.

With thanks from generous donations from the Irish Rover, IberEnglish, Clinic Eternal Beauty, La Liga and ACB we had a huge range of prizes for all ages. We all gathered excitedly in the school gymnasium to hear the children call out the winning numbers. Many of the winners were in the room to collect their prizes on the spot, increasing the excitement and joy of everyone present. Tickets were pulled by Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, parents and innocent by-standers. Our MC was the group chairman Andy Hipkins who was quick to remind everyone (including you, readers!) to keep hold of your tickets until the 22nd of December because we will be offering a follow-up prize to whoever has a ticket that matches the last four numbers of the Spanish El Gordo lottery. Our congratulations to all the winners and thank you for supporting 1st Madrid. Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
