            PARENTS             SCOUTS

The 1st Madrid British Scouts is formed by a group of English speaking families. At the moment we have 4 active groups covering the total range from 6 years old up to 18.

We have a base in San Chinarro neighbourhood  for indoor activities, but spend as many meetings as possible on excursions and outdoors.

When can my child join Scouting?

Beaver Scouts are aged from 6 to 8 years old and are the youngest section of the Scouting family. Their activities are based around making things, outdoor activities, singing, playing games, going out on visits, investigating nature, listening to stories, learning how to be safe and making new friends.

Cubs are from 8 to 10½ years old. Cubs take part in a wide range of activities designed to be interesting and challenging. A Cub Scout meeting consists of games and activities with plenty of time spent outdoors, with an emphasis on self-sufficiency, helping others and social skills.

How will my child benefit from joining Scouts?

Parents tell us their children benefit hugely from the adventures, fun and friendships they experience. It can help develop your child’s social skills and independence, and give them access to some amazing and memorable opportunities.
